About The Position

Cytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, building on its over 25 years of pioneering scientific innovations in muscle biology, and advancing a pipeline of potential new medicines for patients suffering from diseases of cardiac muscle dysfunction. The Senior Director, Commercial Analytics is responsible for leading strategic insights, business intelligence, advanced analytics, commercial effectiveness measurement, patient services analytics, access analytics, and AI-enabled analytical capabilities across the Commercial organization. This leader serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, driving data-driven decision making through actionable insights, innovative analytical approaches, and performance measurement frameworks that accelerate business results. The role is accountable for advancing enterprise-wide analytics capabilities that optimize commercial investments, customer engagement strategies, patient support programs, market access initiatives, and organizational effectiveness. The Senior Director will champion emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytical methodologies to enhance decision-making and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • B.S degree, advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in biopharmaceutical analytics, business intelligence, commercial operations, or related functions.
  • Deep expertise in commercial analytics, ROI measurement, marketing mix modeling, and business performance optimization.
  • Experience supporting Patient Support Services, Market Access, Specialty Pharmacy, and Distribution organizations.
  • Experience implementing AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data assets including syndicated, claims, specialty pharmacy, and patient-level data.
  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive strategic business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and business acumen.

  • Rare disease and/or specialty pharmaceutical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Executive Leadership and Commercial Leadership.
  • Build, drive and lead the development of business intelligence, advanced analytics, customer analytics, and performance measurement capabilities of team members.
  • Partner with Field Excellence & Operations to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and dashboard strategies.
  • Lead ROI measurement and optimization of commercial investments.
  • Develop and enhance marketing mix modeling capabilities.
  • Support Patient Support Services through analytics on patient onboarding, therapy initiation, adherence, persistence, hub performance, and patient journey optimization.
  • Support Value, Access & Distribution through analytics on payer access, reimbursement dynamics, specialty pharmacy performance, distribution channels, gross-to-net drivers, and pull-through effectiveness.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales, Patient Support Services, Value, Access & Distribution, and Finance, to support strategic decision making.
  • Lead adoption of AI, machine learning, automation, and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Commercial Analytics organization.

Benefits

  • In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $252,000 - $294,000 per year.
