About The Position

HealthVerity's Partners vertical is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to develop strategic and commercial relationships with industry-leading and early-stage consulting, analytics, and technology firms that serve life sciences and healthcare clients. This role will focus on organizations outside of biopharmaceutical companies, government agencies, or payers. The Senior Director will leverage deep understanding of healthcare data, analytics, and biopharmaceutical commercial functions to shape and drive channel partnerships and direct commercial relationships. Responsibilities include owning key accounts, leading and developing a team of business development professionals, and directly driving high-impact opportunities.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity across the healthcare real-world data and SaaS technology ecosystem, particularly with respect to consulting, analytics, and technology organizations.
  • Extensive functional experience in business development as well as the formation and ongoing management of strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience—formal or informal—coaching, developing, or guiding others in a commercial environment.
  • Consistent track record of achieving goals through finding, developing, and sustaining strong client relationships.
  • Ability to translate HealthVerity offerings into an innovative value proposition, gain buy-in from senior-level stakeholders (internal and external), and execute.
  • Ability to balance individual contributor excellence with leadership responsibilities in a player-coach model.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with channel partners to bring HealthVerity's real-world data and technology to market.
  • Identify and close direct enterprise licensing opportunities with key accounts.
  • Understand partner dynamics and develop strategies for larger opportunities and innovative go-to-market approaches.
  • Present healthcare data and technology solutions, leading product presentations, demonstrations, technical due diligence, and executive discussions.
  • Own or oversee all stages of opportunity development, from proposal coordination to contract negotiation and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Real-World Data and Analytics, Product, Marketing, Solutions, Pricing, and Legal teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development and partnership managers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Establish team goals and ensure operational excellence in pipeline generation, forecasting, proposal quality, and cross-functional partnership.
  • Support the VP in longer-range strategy development, including partner ecosystem expansion and evaluation of new commercial models.
