About The Position

The Senior Director, Brand Marketing is responsible for maximizing profitable growth of across our Wheels & Action category. You will partner with the Global Design and Product Development and Engineering Design teams, respectively, to develop and deliver Brand and Product Strategy, including the 36-month innovation pipeline.

Requirements

  • A proven successful background in managing a global P&L within a successful growing business.
  • Hands-on understanding of product development/R&D functions for diverse product lines; experience working with subsidiaries, inventors, distributors, overseas factories and vendors
  • Experience leading a global business unit in the areas of Design, Development, Packaging and Marketing; great at building and motivating a team and dealing with Executive teams
  • Strong understanding of the global industry and assigned categories which includes, but is not limited to, historical trends, competitors, distribution trends, pricing trends, retailer needs, marketing/advertising trends, consumer segmentation, and product trends.
  • Strong understanding of global brand and franchise management
  • Ability to anticipate future trends and lead the division to capitalize on future opportunities
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, specifically presentation skills for audiences of all sizes
  • Ability to manage and influence a diverse range of personalities and skill sets
  • Ability to manage and influence senior level internal and external partners
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take products from initial concept through to production

Responsibilities

  • Owns the global P&L for the division; works with the markets to ensure the budget is achieved.
  • Owns the global long range strategic plan (36-month pipeline) and future forecasts (estimates) for all global toy brands; drives alignment with sales & operations
  • Leads Brand Action Plans which include, product definition, product positioning, packaging strategy and creative strategy briefs
  • Influences product development for assigned brands from concept feasibility and selection to production, and from production to marketplace success.
  • Owns the decisioning to resolve competing priorities between cross functional divisions
  • Owns team development, growth, career planning and employee engagement
  • Manages the financial aspects of the Global Business Unit, including, but not limited to, approval of costing, tooling budgets, SKU rationalization, profitability analysis and G&A expenses.
  • Identifies new business / growth opportunities and develops strategic action plans.
  • Manages relationships with inventors, licensors, distributors, overseas factories and vendors
