About The Position

The Senior Director - Autonomous Labs Architect is responsible for defining the architectural blueprint and enterprise patterns required to scale autonomous labs across Danaher, ensuring internal initiatives in this space act as a model cell for future customer-facing deployments, not a one-off implementation. This position reports to the VP and Enterprise Head of Autonomous and Intelligent Labs and is part of the Danaher Corporate Science & Technology and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Define and govern the enterprise architecture, technology standards, and reusable patterns for autonomous and AI-enabled laboratory systems across Danaher, establishing clear standardization requirements, ensuring consistency and scalability, and guiding future technology direction and multi-year autonomous laboratory strategy. Establish interoperability, integration, and architectural governance across scientific instruments, informatics platforms, laboratory automation systems, robotics, data layers, AI agents, software platforms, and external partner technologies, ensuring coherence across complex mixed-vendor ecosystems. Translate enterprise strategy into scalable execution by partnering with operating companies, enterprise teams, customers, strategic partners, industry consortia, scientific organizations, and external ecosystem participants to drive alignment, adoption, and business impact. Guide system, software, workflow, and data architecture decisions while ensuring outputs from internal initiatives become reusable enterprise capabilities, standards, and patterns that can be scaled across Danaher and leveraged for future customer-facing deployments. Influence product strategy and commercial offerings across multiple operating companies while serving as Danaher’s internal and external thought leader for autonomous laboratories, representing the company in advancing autonomous lab innovation, technology strategy, and industry engagement.
