About The Position

The Senior Director, Analytics and Reporting Services is responsible for leading the enterprise analytics, business intelligence, and reporting services function for Compassus. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the teams, platforms, processes, and services that enable the organization to translate data into actionable insight, improve decision-making, and better support clinical, operational, financial, and strategic performance. This position requires a strong analytics mindset, deep business acumen, and the ability to partner effectively across clinical operations, finance, revenue cycle, growth, quality, compliance, human resources, and technology. The Senior Director will ensure that Compassus has trusted analytics capabilities, well-governed reporting, scalable data products, and practical insights that support the broader information needs of the business. This role is not simply responsible for producing reports. It is accountable for building and maturing a high-performing analytics and reporting service model that helps the business answer important questions, identify trends, understand performance drivers, monitor outcomes, and act on opportunities. The Senior Director will play a key role in advancing Compassus from traditional report fulfillment toward consultative analytics, governed self-service, and insight-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data services, or related technology leadership roles
  • Experience leading analytics, business intelligence, or data services teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders to define priorities and deliver high-value analytics solutions
  • Experience with enterprise analytics and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI or similar tools)
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metric standardization, and reporting best practices
  • Experience building or maturing self-service analytics capabilities
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business language
  • Proven ability to lead teams through change, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare or post-acute care (hospice, home health, palliative care, or revenue cycle)
  • Experience with Microsoft data and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric)
  • Experience with enterprise data environments (data warehouses, lakehouses, semantic layers, governed datasets, data catalogs)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the enterprise analytics and reporting services strategy aligned with organizational priorities
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand priorities, clarify business problems, and define key performance questions
  • Ensure analytics efforts are focused on meaningful business outcomes and measurable impact
  • Serve as a consultative partner to senior leaders and operational teams, helping them interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Translate data into insight by helping stakeholders understand what the data means, why it matters, and what actions to consider
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across all functions, including clinical operations, hospice, home health, palliative care, revenue cycle, finance, growth, compliance, and workforce management
  • Oversee the enterprise reporting and business intelligence function, including reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data products
  • Ensure reporting deliverables are accurate, reliable, timely, and aligned with business needs
  • Establish standards for dashboard design, metric presentation, report development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Improve the quality, consistency, and usability of reporting services across the organization
  • Reduce duplicative reporting, retire low-value reports, and strengthen governance and standardization
  • Ensure reporting is supported by trusted data sources and consistent business definitions
  • Establish and manage an effective intake, prioritization, and delivery model for analytics requests
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to prioritize work based on value and urgency and communicate delivery expectations
  • Define and maintain trusted enterprise metrics, common business definitions, and governed semantic models
  • Promote standardized reporting practices to ensure consistency and reliability across the organization
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Technology, Compliance, Information Security, and business data owners to improve data quality, access, and usability
  • Support development of scalable, reusable data products and governed datasets for enterprise use
  • Ensure analytics solutions are sustainable, secure, and designed for long-term value
  • Promote data stewardship practices, including documentation, ownership, and validation
  • Align stakeholders around key metrics and reduce confusion from inconsistent reporting logic or conflicting data sources
  • Expand governed self-service analytics capabilities across Compassus
  • Develop standards, tools, training, documentation, and support models to enable effective data access and use
  • Define the balance between centralized analytics development and self-service capabilities
  • Ensure self-service analytics is supported by appropriate governance, security, and standardized definitions
  • Enable the business to move faster without compromising trust or data integrity
  • Improve analytics literacy by promoting effective use of dashboards, metrics, trends, and performance tools
  • Identify opportunities to apply advanced analytics, including forecasting, trend analysis, predictive modeling, and AI-enabled insights
  • Support the transition from historical reporting to forward-looking, proactive analytics
  • Modernize analytics delivery and improve reporting efficiency
  • Automate manual processes where appropriate
  • Evaluate and leverage emerging analytics platforms and technologies responsibly
  • Partner with Technology and business leaders to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, secure, and aligned with enterprise priorities
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of analytics, reporting, and business intelligence professionals
