Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in analog IC design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven expertise in designing and bringing to production complex analog circuits for high-speed optical transceivers, laser drivers, or similar high-performance analog applications.
Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, analog circuit topologies (e.g., ADCs, DACs, PLLs, TIAs, high-speed interfaces), and their practical implementation.
Extensive experience with industry-standard EDA tools for schematic capture, simulation (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Hspice), and layout.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large, diverse engineering teams.
Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex analog designs on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with silicon validation, characterization, and production test methodologies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with process technology selection and managing foundry relationships is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the strategic roadmap for analog IC design, aligning with overall product and technology objectives.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analog design engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Oversee the complete analog design lifecycle, from concept and architectural definition to detailed design, simulation, layout, verification, and silicon validation.
Drive the selection and implementation of appropriate analog design methodologies, tools, and best practices to optimize design efficiency and quality.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, digital design, product engineering, and operations to ensure seamless product integration and successful production.
Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analog designs.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in analog design, incorporating relevant advancements into future product developments.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and academic institutions to leverage external expertise and resources.
Provide technical guidance and critical design reviews for complex analog circuit blocks.
Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and publications.
