The Senior Digital Sales Account Manager serves as a trusted commercial and digital advisor, defining account-specific growth strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and leading execution against measurable sales, demand-generation, customer-experience, and operational objectives. The role requires remote sales expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence decisions across complex customer and internal stakeholder environments. In addition to delivering results within assigned accounts, the position is expected to create repeatable playbooks, elevate organizational capability, and help shape the broader US digital and ecommerce channel strategy and team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, business, sales, eCommerce, analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales, key account management, eCommerce, digital commerce, online sales development, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success owning strategic customer relationships and delivering measurable commercial growth through digital channels.
  • Experience developing and leading comprehensive, cross-functional commercial and marketing action plans from strategy through execution and performance review.
  • Advanced understanding of digital sales and/or eCommerce fundamentals, including product data, digital shelf, search engine marketing and optimization, mobile, web analytics, conversion, retail media, and demand generation.
  • Strong knowledge of digital sales and eCommerce KPIs and the ability to convert complex performance data into insights, financial implications, priorities, and executive decisions.
  • Experience influencing senior internal and customer stakeholders without direct authority in a complex matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple high-impact initiatives, navigate ambiguity, resolve competing priorities, and deliver outcomes with disciplined governance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wholesale electrical distribution, industrial products, B2B commerce, or another complex channel ecosystem.
  • Experience with joint business planning, digital assortment strategy, marketplaces, omnichannel customer journeys, pricing, or commercial investment management.
  • Working knowledge of data platforms, product-information management, digital asset management, customer analytics, experimentation, and dashboarding tools.
  • Experience coaching peers or developing organizational capability through standards, playbooks, training, or communities of practice.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certification in business, digital commerce, marketing, analytics, or a related area.

Responsibilities

  • Own the digital sales and ecommerce growth strategy, annual operating plan, and roadmap for assigned strategic channel accounts, with clear revenue, demand, profitability, adoption, and customer-experience outcomes.
  • Lead joint business planning with account sales leaders and customer executives, translating enterprise priorities into account-specific initiatives, investment choices, milestones, and performance commitments.
  • Identify and develop new digital growth opportunities across assortment expansion, digital shelf, online merchandising, paid and organic traffic, conversion, marketplaces, omnichannel journeys, and emerging business models.
  • Build executive-level relationships within assigned accounts and position Schneider Electric as a preferred digital growth partner.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on channel dynamics, pricing, portfolio positioning, and go-to-market evolution while proactively managing channel conflict and commercial risk.
  • Establish and govern standards for comprehensive product data, digital content, taxonomy, tools, and assets required by targeted distributors' digital tools and eCommerce platforms.
  • Prioritize digital shelf improvements using customer, search, content-quality, availability, traffic, and conversion insights; coordinate corrective action across product, marketing, operations, and account teams.
  • Lead consistent product-launch rollout and release plans across assigned accounts, including readiness criteria, stakeholder communication, execution governance, and post-launch performance review.
  • Champion scalable customer experiences and capabilities that improve product discovery, decision support, conversion, and repeat purchase.
  • Propose, negotiate, and lead integrated eMarketing and demand-generation programs with customers and internal digital marketing resources.
  • Define account scorecards and target agreements based on digital sales KPIs; establish performance cadences, diagnose and address gaps, and drive corrective actions.
  • Use advanced analytics to connect digital activity to commercial outcomes, assess return on investment, and recommend where to scale, optimize, or stop investment.
  • Monitor pricing and promotional alignment across traditional and digital channels, escalating risks and recommending fact-based actions.
  • Anticipate changes in search, retail media, marketplaces, mobile, analytics, artificial intelligence, customer expectations, and distributor digital capabilities; translate relevant trends into practical growth initiatives.
  • Analyze major competitor moves, value-chain changes, and business-model evolution, and communicate implications and recommended responses to senior stakeholders.
  • Create executive-ready communications, business reviews, investment proposals, and decision documents for internal and external audiences.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams in a matrix environment, clarify ownership and dependencies, and hold teams accountable for agreed deliverables.
