About The Position

ABC7 KGO-TV, the ABC Owned Television station in San Francisco, is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy lead producer to join its digital management team. The Senior Digital Producer will report to the Executive Producer – Digital Strategy and collaborate closely to shape and execute content strategy across all digital platforms. This role requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure content environment, possesses strong editorial instincts, excellent writing skills, and the ability to make quick, smart decisions. Thorough knowledge and experience publishing and promoting content on major social media platforms is essential. Working knowledge of web analytics and social media metrics, and knowledge of the Dalet news system are beneficial. The Senior Digital Producer will guide the digital team, oversee the quality of daily digital and social media content, ensure timely reporting of breaking news, engage in real-time with broadcast and digital producers and the assignment desk to coordinate coverage, handle site troubleshooting, and maintain editorial standards for all ABC7's digital platforms. The role also involves collaboration across the ABC Owned Television Stations group and with cross-functional partners throughout The Walt Disney Company to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Three (3+) years of experience in a digital newsroom environment
• Proficiency in AP style and strong copy‑editing skills
• Experience with analytics tools (social, video, web)
• Familiarity with HTML, SEO principles, CMS and CMX tools (like Sprinklr)
• Knowledge of basic image and video editing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Prior experience advising, training, or leading digital producers
• Experience in a major‑market newsroom
• Familiarity with Disney/ABC OTV systems, workflows, and editorial standards
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe products
• Thorough knowledge and experience publishing and promoting content on major social media platforms

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of web analytics and social media metrics
• Knowledge of the Dalet news system

Responsibilities
