About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Digital Engineering Manager (Level M) to join the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Team. This role involves leading Digital Engineering teams responsible for developing a future-ready Digital Ecosystem that facilitates seamless collaboration and data exchange among customers, industry partners, and stakeholders. The manager will oversee program execution, architecting and integrating enterprise solutions for data management, advanced data analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and streamlined collaboration. Key responsibilities include Configuration Management/Data Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Assured Data Transfers, and enterprise tool support. The role requires planning, organizing, and directing activities to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals, establishing technical visions, coordinating resources, and managing technical subcontractors. Additionally, it involves building customer and stakeholder relationships, implementing team operating rhythms, fostering communication, developing performance metrics, managing Earned Value Management (EVM), and overseeing risk, issue, and opportunity management. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration to ensure successful program execution and technical integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Minimum 7 years of engineering leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years of formal engineering management experience.
Experience managing risks, cost performance, and schedule performance across multiple engineering disciplines.
Experience integrating complex systems
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (direct reports, peers, executive leaders, and customers)
Proven track record of execution in a development environment.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with ability to receive special program access (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities

Lead the Digital Engineering and PLM teams focused on software, system and data integration development efforts in support of digital engineering / model-based engineering capabilities and Product Lifecycle Management.
Work cross-functionally with multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), functions, and the BDS Digital Production System “Sapphire” team to enable adoption and integration of new digital engineering capabilities and the BDS Sapphire architecture into the Digital Ecosystem.
Responsibility, Accountability and Authority for the execution of the Digital Engineering and PLM scope of work and charters. Actively participate in agile development, including program increment planning.
Interface daily with customers and Boeing program office teams.
Foster a proactive environment for technical oversight and risk management. Champions the use of Development Excellence methodology, technical design reviews, and integrating expertise to achieve digital engineering solutions. Establishes governance and consideration of standard tools, processes, and legacy architectures to yield step change improvements in digital engineering capabilities.
