The Opportunity Abbott is seeking a Senior Digital & eCommerce Product Manager to shape and deliver the next generation of global commerce solutions across our organization. This is a senior IT delivery and product leadership role within the Digital Technology Services team, responsible for defining, building, and scaling commerce products used in both Business‑to‑Consumer ( B2C) and Business‑to‑ Business (B2B) contexts. This role will play a critical part in leading, defining and executing a global commerce strategy, enabling business growth, improving customer experience, and driving operational excellence across multiple divisions worldwide. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on product leader, a strong collaborator, and a visionary who can translate strategy into delivery within a complex, matrixed global organization. This role is instrumental to implementing our global commerce strategy . The Senior Digital & eCommerce Product Manager will act as a visionary leader , articulating how divisional roadmaps come together to create a unified, scalable commerce ecosystem that drives growth and elevates customer experiences worldwide. We are looking for leaders who will raise the bar, challenge the status quo, and take our digital commerce capabilities to the next level.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management, eCommerce platforms, or IT delivery , with at least 5 years at a senior or lead level
  • Proven experience owning and delivering complex, global commerce platforms across B2C and/or B2B environments
  • Strong hands‑on Product Owner experience within Agile / Scrum / scaled agile environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business stakeholders and technology leadership
  • Experience driving delivery with distributed global teams (internal and external)
  • Strong understanding of modern commerce architectures and API‑based solutions
  • Excellent communication, influence, and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise‑scale commerce transformations
  • Prior exposure to regulated or highly matrixed environments
  • Track record of driving measurable business outcomes (sales growth, conversion improvement, CX uplift)
  • Working knowledge of Microservices API /Cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of any ecommerce platforms like Commercetools , Adobe Commerce, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), SAP Hybris, Magento, Shopify, etc.
  • Vendor management experience managing suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision Own and articulate the vision, roadmap, and value proposition for global digital and eCommerce products aligned to enterprise commerce strategy.
  • Define and prioritize product capabilities that support revenue growth, customer experience improvements, and operational efficiency .
  • Translate business strategies and divisional needs into a cohesive global commerce platform strategy .
  • Product Ownership & Delivery Act as Product Owner with end‑to‑end accountability across the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive product definition , including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
  • Lead product demos, support testing cycles, and own quality outcomes through UAT and production release.
  • Ensure incremental delivery of value through a continuous release and agile delivery paradigm.
  • Stakeholder & Program Collaboration Partner closely with business stakeholders across all global divisions to align priorities and define outcomes.
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure scope, timelines, and dependencies are realistic and achievable.
  • Balance competing priorities across a portfolio of programs while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Architecture & Scalability Collaborate actively with Solution and Enterprise Architects to ensure product designs are scalable, secure, and globally reusable.
  • Ensure architecture and solution design meet current requirements while supporting future growth and extensibility.
  • Agile Team Leadership Lead and inspire cross‑functional agile delivery teams , including internal employees and external partners.
  • Drive strong agile practices, outcome‑based delivery, and accountability for results.
  • Manage resources across geographically dispersed teams and multiple time zones.
  • People & Culture Leadership Operate effectively in a matrix organization , contributing to global team culture and collaboration.
  • Serve as a senior leader and role model , supporting team development, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Mentor product and delivery team members, fostering a high‑performance, customer-focused mindset.
  • Assist the DTS organization to adopt the product mindset in delivery and build this capability within the global team
