About The Position

What you will be doing: Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware from concept through production. Conduct digital hardware research, design, and development related to software-defined radios. Perform simulation, prototyping, and schematic capture. Understand printed wiring board and flexible circuit layout design. Conduct hands-on measurement of high-speed and other electrical interfaces. Prioritize tasks and issues based on technical challenges and business/revenue impact. Participate in diverse product development, from component selection through change orders and implementation. Analyze electrical requirements to determine the feasibility of designs within time and cost constraints. Utilize essential test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators. Perform integration with other subsystems including RF, FPGA, DSP, embedded firmware, and test equipment. Provide timely and thorough responses to issues impacting production and revenue generation. Demonstrate problem-solving expertise and collaborate with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree plus a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in emerging digital design trends, including new parts, manufacturers, and capabilities.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art high-speed digital communications protocols such as USB, Gb Ethernet, and PCIe Express.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a large engineering team.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
