Senior Digital Analyst

Maxwood FurnitureCharleston, SC
Onsite

About The Position

Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands including Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we've built multiple sales channels across DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We're passionate about designing inspiring, on-trend furniture that brings customers' home décor dreams to life. We are seeking a new member to join our Analytics team. Are you ready to be part of something amazing? Role Overview We're looking for a Senior Digital Analyst to own how we measure our business online. This is the first dedicated analytics role inside our digital organization, and it comes with real ownership: you'll build the measurement foundation across four Shopify storefronts, run the weekly insights meeting the business makes decisions inside, and set the standard for how we test and read results. You'll report directly to the VP of Digital Commerce & Experience and work across merchandising, UX, CRM, advertising, business intelligence, and IT. If you like building something from the ground up more than maintaining something that already runs, this is that job.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in digital or web analytics with growing ownership of measurement, not just reporting
  • Hands-on GA4 and Google Tag Manager experience at implementation depth: you've built a measurement plan and a data layer, not only pulled reports out of someone else's
  • Experience owning an experimentation program from hypothesis through read-out
  • Comfort with SQL and working directly in a data warehouse
  • Experience with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform, including how apps and themes affect tracking
  • A track record of presenting analysis to senior leadership and defending it
  • A quantitative background: statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, or similar
  • Self-directed: decides what the business needs to know and goes and finds it rather than waiting for a request
  • Willing to say what the data says, including when it isn't the answer anyone wanted
  • Translates fluently between technical detail and commercial impact depending on the room
  • Rigorous about accuracy and unwilling to publish a number they can't stand behind
  • Comfortable being the first and only person in this seat, and energized by building the function
  • Collaborative across teams that don't report to them

Nice To Haves

  • Agency or consultancy experience at a Google Marketing Platform partner
  • BigQuery, Looker Studio, or comparable warehouse and visualization tooling
  • Server-side tagging and consent mode implementation
  • Experience with session replay or experience analytics platforms
  • A business degree or MBA alongside the technical background
  • DTC ecommerce experience across multiple brands or storefronts

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the weekly digital insights readout: assemble the analysis, write the commentary, and run the meeting
  • Own GA4 property architecture, Google Tag Manager, the data layer, and event taxonomy across all four storefronts
  • Own conversion tracking accuracy across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Klaviyo, and Shopify, including validation after every theme and app deployment
  • Define and maintain the shared definition set so the whole company reads the same numbers the same way
  • Design experiments end to end: hypothesis, sample size, run length, significance, and honest read-outs
  • Maintain a documented library of tests, results, and what we learned so the same idea isn't tested twice
  • Build validation and alerting so tracking breaks get caught in hours rather than discovered weeks later
  • Instrument new brand and category launches from day one, including our upcoming product launchs
  • Report on site speed and Core Web Vitals, and translate performance data into commercial impact
  • Partner with Business Intelligence on customer, cohort, and lifetime value analysis
  • Partner with Advertising on paid measurement, where you own site-side instrumentation and they own media attribution
  • Partner with Data Engineering through our ERP implementation to make sure commerce data reconciles across systems
