Senior DevOps Software Engineer

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a motivated, and customer-oriented Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our team at Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working across the software development life-cycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support. This role also requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.
Requirements
- Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
Nice To Haves
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Responsibilities
- Experience in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software
- Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols
- Knowledge in Identifying manual processes that can be automated
- Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
- Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently.
- Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.
- Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
- Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.
- Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes.
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
