About The Position

Join an enterprise-scale GitHub transformation, migrating 2,000+ repositories and their CI/CD ecosystems across GitHub environments. As a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer, you’ll contribute across discovery, design, automation, migration, cutover, and stabilization, working hands-on with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS/EKS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and automation tooling.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with strong recent experience in GitHub and CI/CD.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations at enterprise scale, including repositories, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.
  • Proven experience with enterprise-scale GitHub repository and workflow migrations, including GitHub Actions, runners, and workflow reconfiguration.
  • Experience with OIDC, GitHub Apps, webhooks, and OAuth integrations.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience designing and migrating CI/CD pipelines and platforms, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or equivalent technologies.
  • Hands-on experience across the full migration lifecycle, including discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration waves, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with migration projects involving hundreds or thousands of repositories.
  • Experience with GitOps and FluxCD.
  • Experience with AWS CodeBuild.
  • Experience with Git submodules and complex repository dependencies.
  • Experience with SSO/identity migration and migration tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration waves, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization activities.
  • Plan and execute GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organization migrations.
  • Migrate GitHub repositories, workflows, runners, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.
  • Support migration and reconfiguration of GitHub Actions and dependent CI/CD systems.
  • Migrate and validate GitHub Apps, webhooks, OAuth integrations, and OIDC configurations.
  • Build automation for migration activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Support AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, Jenkins, and associated platform integrations.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure platform stability during and after migration.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful migration execution and validation.
