Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
About The Position
Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches. This role involves defining automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities, as well as providing prototypes and concepts for further automation. The engineer will join a newly established, cross-functional Scrum team based in Košice, operating under a "We build it, we run it" DevOps culture. The position offers broad access to modern technology stacks with architectural guidelines and empowers independent decision-making with a high level of ownership. The team primarily works remotely, with in-person meetings required for sprint demos, planning, and retrospectives (every two weeks for 1 day) and Program Increment (PI) planning sessions (every 3-4 months for 3 days).
Requirements
- 4 years of experience with ICT Systems
- Expert level scripting (Bash, Python)
- Expert level Linux Operating System knowledge
- Intermediate level GCP / AWS experience
- Expert level Docker knowledge
- Advanced level Kubernetes knowledge
- Expert level Git knowledge
- Advanced level Jenkins / GitLab knowledge
- Intermediate level Maven / Gradle knowledge
- Advanced level Ansible / Terraform / Puppet knowledge
- Advanced level ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana knowledge
- Expert level Networking knowledge
- Advanced level Security knowledge
- Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum and SAFe
- Communicative, team player with analytical thinking, training skills and presentation skills
- Upper intermediate (B2) English speaking proficiency
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests and implements infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Manages source code, configuration management, release management, build and deployment activities.
- Setups and manages integration with partner applications.
- Conducts performance analyses and tunings as well as error analyses and troubleshooting.
- Consults and implements new innovative technologies to satisfy innovation strategy.
- Creates concepts for further automation of services, processes and/or operating models.
- Directly support the project teams in the development, quality assurance accompanying development as well as planning and implementation of product releases.
- Continuously optimizes the development and system infrastructure.
- Provides consulting to project teams on areas of expertise.
- Prototypes/Proof of Concept solutions.
- Researches and develops in assigned technology, determines business requirements, proposes changes and prepares implementation plans.
