About The Position

Circadia Health is a growth-stage healthcare AI company focused on preventing hospitalizations and improving senior care operations. Their platform integrates contactless sensing, predictive models, and enterprise integrations to detect adverse events and alert care staff. The company aims to scale its technology to monitor hundreds of thousands of patients daily and is seeking a dedicated engineer to own the underlying infrastructure.

This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and scalability of the platform that supports vital sign monitoring and predictive analytics for senior care. The engineer will be responsible for the core infrastructure that processes continuous telemetry from tens of thousands of devices.

Requirements

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering.
• Ownership of production cloud architecture on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerized orchestration.
• Experience scaling a production system through at least one order of magnitude.
• Experience instrumenting systems with metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• A track record of justifying infrastructure investment to engineering and business stakeholders, and driving adoption of the practices that follow.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in regulated environments: HIPAA, SOC 2, FDA.
• Experience with high-volume telemetry or IoT ingestion on the cloud side.
• Significant open source contributions, systems that outlived your tenure, or a high-bar engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud architecture, including AWS environment design, network and account topology, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for the entire engineering organization, ensuring fast and reversible deployments.
• Implement and manage observability across services, telemetry ingest, and data pipelines, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Ensure security of the infrastructure, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, network boundaries, and audit logging, with a focus on HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance.
• Scale telemetry ingest to handle continuous streams from thousands of devices in diverse network environments.
• Manage and optimize compute, Snowflake, and data transfer costs, making informed tradeoffs.
