About The Position

DevOps engineer Who are we? Komodor is a fast-paced and well-funded B2D startup, backed by Accel Tiger Global and the CTOs/Founders of GitHub, Atlassian and Snyk. We are a 2021 Gartner Cool Vendor and by-dev-for-dev company that values diversity, open-mindness, innovation, and curiosity. What is our product? Komodor is the missing piece in the DevOps tool chain - one unified platform to gain a deep understanding of the system's services, dependencies, changes, and metrics. We are looking for an impact-driven DevOps engineer, to be a part of a small elite team working on building our product.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the DevOps world - must
  • 3+ years of Linux skills – must
  • Experience with build/release and pipeline orchestration tools such as Jenkins, and Git. - must
  • Experience with AWS \Other Cloud provider (E.g EC2, Load Balancers, RDS, Lambda, EKS, S3, CloudFormation, SQS, Cloudwatch, Codebuild, IAM) – must
  • Strong experience with containerized environments and microservices based on Docker, and Kubernetes. - must
  • Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, etc
  • Strong scripting skills on production-grade services (Python / Bash)
  • Familiarity with Web servers: NGINX / Apache
  • Database experience (E.g PSQL\MongoDB\Redis)
  • Take end-to-end ownership of DevOps infrastructure in a “lean team” setup- designing, building, and running scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments, while also acting as a technical leader and go-to person.
  • Drive FinOps and cost optimization efforts across multi-cloud environments, analyzing usage, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing smart scaling, monitoring, and automation practices to maximize performance while keeping cloud spend under control

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve our infrastructure
  • Management of our infrastructure – upgrades, scale requirements, bug fixes, etc.
  • Develop best practices for infrastructure monitoring
  • Build and improve our CI\CD pipelines
  • Develop enablers and tools that provide the flexibility to allow a smooth and efficient development lifecycle
  • Manage the runtime of test and dev cloud environments
  • Design and implement solutions to speed up development and solve our integration challenges
  • Operate and maintain data infrastructure and tooling to enable data driven decisions by stakeholders.
