About The Position

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support Kadiak and its government customer in Vienna, Virginia. The position requires an active Top Secret security clearance and offers a hybrid schedule: four days onsite and one day telework. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, and infrastructure as code, with a passion for problem-solving and delivering efficient solutions. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud solutions and support continuous integration and delivery processes across secure cloud-hosted and on-premises enterprise environments. The role works with system architects and developers to maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code architecture and design, and focuses on containers, container deployments, and serverless architectures within AWS. It also involves building and scaling end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, writing Python automation scripts and internal tools, architecting and managing complex AWS infrastructure stacks using CloudFormation and modular templates, and mentoring team members on cloud security and infrastructure-as-code best practices. The position requires at least five years of professional experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure, along with experience in AWS, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, automation and orchestration tools, and continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins and GitLab/GitHub. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with Poly and work onsite in Vienna four days per week. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure role.
Experience with AWS, including services and tools such as CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, and ElasticSearch.
Experience with coding and scripting, including writing Python automation scripts and internal tools.
Experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and creating Jenkins Pipelines.
Experience with current automation and orchestration tools.
Experience with continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins and GitLab/GitHub, and understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with Poly; the role also requires an active Top Secret clearance.
Ability to work onsite in Vienna, Virginia, four days per week, with one day remote.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud solutions while driving continuous integration and delivery processes.
Support the enterprise IT platform, including secure cloud-hosted and on-premises environments.
Work with system architects and developers to maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code solutions.

Write custom automation scripts and internal tools using Python.
Architect, optimize, and manage complex AWS infrastructure stacks using advanced CloudFormation and modular templates.
Mentor team members and establish best practices for cloud security and infrastructure as code.
Manage and scale GitLab Runners for high-volume, secure builds.
