About The Position

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will serve as a key architect and technical authority for our cloud infrastructure. This is a high-impact role focused on designing resilient systems, automating complex workflows, and ensuring the technical integrity of our deployment ecosystem. You will be responsible for the strategic alignment of our infrastructure with evolving business objectives, ensuring peak performance and security.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive cloud infrastructure experience (or advanced degree and/or certification) focusing on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Direct experience building and maintaining Kubernetes and Docker environments.
  • Experience building custom Kubernetes controllers or operators to extend platform functionality.
  • Proven track record of automating infrastructure provisioning and managing complex CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Github Actions, Terraform)
  • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining multiple database types (e.g. Postgresql, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Thanos).
  • Experience collaborating with and managing external technical partners or third-party service providers
  • Experience in writing software in one or more of the following languages: Python, Shell, Go, or similar
  • Familiarity with advanced security protocols, including automated secret management, encryption at rest/transit, and IAM governance.
  • Experience engineering custom monitoring, tracing, and alerting systems that go beyond standard "out-of-the-box" metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical experience with Event-Driven Architecture and Complex Event Processing (CEP).
  • Deep understanding of microservice design patterns, service discovery, and service meshes (e.g., Istio or Linkerd).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with developers to design cloud-native architectures, migration strategies, and application optimizations that directly enable business objectives and long-term architectural direction.
  • Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to ensure seamless, automated software delivery.
  • Maintain Docker/Container clusters and take a lead role in creating or improving custom Kubernetes tooling and controllers.
  • Proactively improve monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability. Engineer and improve sophisticated monitoring and alert systems to proactively identify and mitigate system bottlenecks.
  • Act as a guardian of the ecosystem by maintaining relevance in best practices regarding compliance, privacy, and legal security requirements.
  • Serve as the final point of escalation for complex technical challenges and participate in on-call support rotation.
