This position will support multiple software products across global environments, identify and drive opportunities to automate build, deployment, management, and tooling, and design, deploy, and manage development infrastructure services both on-premises and in AWS. The role involves delivering product deployment automation solutions critical to our software, enhancing system observability with metrics, monitoring, and alerting, and reviewing and recommending tools and processes to improve the software development lifecycle. Guidance will be provided to developers through best practices, troubleshooting support, documentation, and training sessions. Collaboration will occur effectively in a global, distributed team via video and chat, with occasional travel. This role accepts the hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week, and participation in a weekly on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field followed by 7 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience must include 7 years with each of the following:
- Building software automation with Ansible
- CI/CD pipeline development using GitHub and Jenkins
- Containerization and orchestration using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
- System monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix
- Cloud infrastructure management and scaling on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Monitoring, observability, and centralized Logging using Datadog, Elasticsearch, and Splunk
