About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for an opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA to provide leadership in the medical device industry. A hybrid opportunity (onsite 3 days per week), you will provide the necessary leadership to a growing team to ensure high-quality software development while ensuring team efficiencies. In addition to maintaining a transparent process for stakeholders, you will also seek to introduce automation to the software development lifecycle, accelerating the process and ensuring the correct development of all production software.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other equivalent education, Master’s degree is preferable
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the medical device industry or other life science domains
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience leading teams building automation with tools like Docker, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Proven experience leading teams successfully managing Git repos, including migrations and branch management at scale
  • Experience creating Infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and command line tools
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl and Python
  • Familiarity with build tools like Make and CMake
  • Familiar with CI / CD pipelines such as JIRA, GIT, Crucible, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.
  • Strong experience of IT infrastructure and networking concepts

  • Experience with FDA regulated medical devices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team building and supporting a software toolchain for low- to mid-complexity projects
  • Ensure the toolchain supports code reviews, testing, and automated promotion through quality gates
  • Manage the cloud infrastructure hosting the toolchain and supporting development projects
  • Develop dashboards and tools to track development metrics such as code quality and velocity
  • Ensure infrastructure meets disaster recovery requirements and passes testing
  • Enforce immutable software practices using virtual images and containers
  • Maintain concise documentation to meet quality management requirements and support software quality
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements
