About The Position
Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a newly established, cross-functional Scrum team in Košice. This role is responsible for the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches. The engineer will define automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities, and provide prototypes and concepts for further automation. The team fosters a strong DevOps culture with broad access to modern technology stacks and encourages independent decision-making with a high level of ownership. The team primarily works remotely, with in-person meetings required for sprint events and PI planning sessions.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience with ICT Systems
- Expertise in Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Expertise in Linux Operating System
- Intermediate experience with GCP / AWS
- Expertise in Docker
- Advanced experience with Kubernetes
- Expertise in Git
- Advanced experience with Jenkins / GitLab
- Intermediate experience with Maven / Gradle
- Advanced experience with Ansible / Terraform / Puppet
- Advanced experience with ELK / Prometheus / Icinga / Jaeger / Grafana
- Expertise in Networking
- Expertise in Security
- Experience with Agile Methodology, Scrum and SAFe
- Communicative, team player with analytical thinking, training skills and presentation skills
- English language proficiency - Upper intermediate (B2)
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests and implements infrastructure for CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Manages source code, configuration management, release management, build and deployment activities.
- Setups and manages integration with partner applications.
- Conducts performance analyses and tunings as well as error analyses and troubleshooting.
- Consults and implements new innovative technologies to satisfy innovation strategy.
- Creates concepts for further automation of services, processes and/or operating models.
- Directly support the project teams in the development, quality assurance accompanying development as well as planning and implementation of product releases.
- Continuously optimizes the development and system infrastructure.
- Provides consulting to project teams on areas of expertise.
- Prototypes/Proof of Concept solutions.
- Researches and develops in assigned technology, determines business requirements, proposes changes and prepares implementation plans.
