Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.

Requirements

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Shell, and/or Go; Groovy for pipeline-as-code (Jenkinsfile)
  • Hands-on expertise with container ecosystems: Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Deep experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), GCP (GKE, Cloud Build), or Azure (AKS, Azure DevOps)
  • Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi for provisioning and configuration management
  • Strong expertise with CI/CD platforms: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Tekton
  • Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD, Flux, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Linux packaging (RPM, DEB) and software build systems (CMake, Make) for containerized driver or kernel module delivery
  • Experience with artifact management: Artifactory, Nexus, or OCI-compliant registries (Quay, ECR, GHCR)
  • Working knowledge of secrets management: Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Sealed Secrets
  • Familiarity with observability stacks: Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog
  • Experience building and maintaining custom solutions as wrappers on top of aws/azure clouds.
  • Championing self service designs reducing day to day cloud operations.
  • Multi substrate expereince to scale one solution across multiple clouds.
  • Cross team collaboration.
  • Experience with source control management and code review workflows via GitHub Enterprise or Gerrit

  • Contributions to open source projects are a definite plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of software components across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Architect and implement scalable automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Pulumi
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or OpenShift)
  • Cluster & Node Management for aks/eks, nodepools, replica sets.
  • Hands on with cloud best practices with (s3, IAM, VPC, Cloudfronts) or similar Cloud infra.
  • Provisioning, maintenance and scaling Cloud native databases (RDS, Clickhouse) or similar
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across one or more providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) with a focus on reliability, cost optimization, and security posture
  • Build, package, and distribute software for Linux-based containerized ecosystems
  • Collaborate with development teams to define branching strategies, code promotion workflows, and GitOps practices
  • Perform code and infrastructure reviews; enforce DevSecOps best practices in the delivery pipeline
  • Work in an Agile, test-driven model with a bias toward automation and observability
  • Create and maintain technical runbooks, architecture documentation, and user guides
