Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a deployment role Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management OR 7+ years of experience in a deployment role with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Certification in any of the following: AWS, Azure, GCP or K8
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in any one of the clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with Dockers or similar and experience with Kubernetes or similar
- Strong technical skills in automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices
- Working knowledge with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Administration of databases (MS SQL, Mongo)
- Working knowledge with Linux and Windows operating systems
Responsibilities
- Design and implement deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Puppet, or similar to automate building, testing, and deployment processes
- Manage and maintain the infrastructure for deployment pipelines, including servers, databases, load balancers, and other resources
- Monitor the performance of applications deployed in production environments and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure the security and compliance of the deployment process and applications, including implementing security measures such as SSL certificates, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Collaborate with developers to understand requirements, ensure alignment with the development process, and support successful deployment
- Continuously improve deployment processes through automation, identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency gains
- Provide support to customers and end-users as needed, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployed applications
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful and timely deployment of software applications
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our platform
- Have the ability and flexibility to work with teams globally, across time zones
