If you're ready to make an impact, you're in the right place. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our organization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in managing multiple environments, platform engineering tools and technologies, working on integration and implementation, and management of the Intelligent Engineering Practice strategy, initiatives and drive transformation engagements. This includes areas such as DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile, and AIOps. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in DevOps, application and infra-automation, process improvement, and engineering maturity improvements, with a deep understanding of engineering principles. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving community-building events focused on case studies, training, proof of concepts (PoCs), and more.

Requirements

  • Over 12 years in the IT industry
  • Deep expertise in following Software Engineering areas: Overall software engineering process and tools
  • Prod and other higher environments operations working closely with ProdOps and EnvOps team
  • Should have worked with Kafka Infra setup and automation
  • DevOps experience – CI/CD (Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, ArgoCD, Harness, SonarQube)– tools and processes, DevSecOps (Veracode, Blackduck)
  • Should have worked with Rancher and Kubernetes including Helm Charts
  • Infra setup and automation
  • Should have worked with Platform Engineering tools and technologies
  • Should have worked with Splunk/Splunk AI Infra setup and automation along with Vantage dashboard (good to have knowledge or experience)
  • Should have strong understanding on ITSM processes
  • Should have work on IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Hands on DevOps leader who comes from technology background (Agile, DevOps, AIOps) and can also talk about technology with different stakeholders and create interest in solving a specific business problem.
  • Strong background in automation technologies, such as DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, Agile, and AIOps. Familiarity with tools and frameworks in these areas is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies and their application in engineering practices.
  • Engineering mindset with a focus on driving maturity improvements in engineering practices across the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align practice initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in analyzing complex engineering challenges and identifying effective solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with at least 4-5 large customers on Engineering transformations (Agile, DevOps, Product Engineering)
  • In-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Automated Quality Testing, Software Configuration Management and Automated Platform provisioning
  • Certified AWS/Azure/DevOps professional
  • Hands on experience with some of the common industry leading CI/CD/CT tools like for example Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, AWS DevOps Services, OpsGenie, Rancher, Jira, xMatters, xRay , QMetry, Client QTP. Harness.io, AppDynamics, Selenium, Cucumber etc.

  • Past experience in creating multiple SRE dashboards is an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and enhance productivity
  • Apply an engineering mindset to improve the maturity of engineering practices across the client organization.
  • Define frameworks, best practices, and standards to elevate engineering capabilities and ensure consistent quality in project delivery.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in the field of intelligent engineering. Proactively identify new opportunities for innovation and leverage cutting-edge technologies to drive value for the organization.
  • Strategize and execute engineering transformation initiatives for Ness customers by leveraging DevOps/DevSecOps/AIOps capabilities
  • Be able to conduct agile, DevOps maturity assessments, provide recommendations and implement the recommendations
  • Provide thought leadership in areas of agile, DevOps through white papers, blogs
  • Identify & implement appropriate technologies & tools to solve clients' problems related to build, test, release, deploy and operate to improve overall engineering maturity for existing and new Ness customers
  • Engage clients in issue resolution/ decisions and drive alternatives with thought leadership and automation experience
  • Identify and implement tools/ services that can help the engineering team to produce better software/ services more efficiently and provide recommendations
  • Provide technical and technology direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex solutions by making automation related recommendations for existing and new customers.
  • Generate innovation and continuous improvement ideas for various projects and engagements
  • Work with delivery teams to identify and recommend improvement opportunities by leveraging process maturity model and assessment toolkit
  • Advise on existing project/engagement improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: continuous integration, continuous build, test automation, monitoring, automation, risk management, software life-cycle management and development methodologies, self-heal solutions, AI/ML enabled automation, Chatbots implementation.
  • Leads in the analysis of technical requirements of applications to ensure systems provide required availability, latency, scalability and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance on cloud native Devops implementation and best practice
