About The Position

Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Senior DevOps / Kubernetes Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical leader supporting government customers in the design, deployment, and sustainment of modern container and Kubernetes-based infrastructure. This role focuses on Rancher-based platforms and adjacent open-source technologies, delivering secure, scalable, and mission-ready DevOps solutions across complex enterprise and government environments.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Extensive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering roles supporting enterprise or government environments
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments
  • Experience with Rancher or similar Kubernetes management platforms
  • Strong background in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem tooling
  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation workflows
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and related cloud-native monitoring stacks
  • Strong understanding of secure infrastructure design and compliance requirements in regulated or government environments
  • Experience building proof-of-concepts, reference architectures, and enterprise-scale technical solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and production infrastructure issues
  • Strong communication skills with experience delivering technical presentations, training, and workshops
  • Experience engaging directly with customers to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction through customer advocacy and collaboration with engineering teams
  • Experience producing technical documentation, architecture guidance, and thought leadership content
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-driven environments with evolving requirements

Responsibilities

  • Act as a hands-on technical lead supporting deployment, configuration, and sustainment of Rancher-based Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Design and implement secure, scalable Kubernetes architectures aligned with government security requirements and mission objectives
  • Provide advanced DevOps engineering support, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and platform reliability improvements
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions, reference architectures, and technical demonstrations to address complex customer use cases
  • Support integration and operationalization of Kubernetes ecosystems including container orchestration, networking, and observability tooling
  • Work extensively with DevOps toolchains including CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
  • Implement and support observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Prometheus and related ecosystem components
  • Collaborate directly with customers and partners to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions and long-term infrastructure strategies
  • Serve as a technical advisor, guiding customers on best practices for Kubernetes adoption, scaling, and security hardening
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and communicate insights to internal engineering and product teams to influence roadmap decisions
  • Deliver technical briefings, deep-dive sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to showcase platform capabilities and solutions value
  • Produce technical content including white papers, blog posts, best practices guides, and training materials
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and technical forums as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain deep expertise across Rancher platform capabilities and the broader Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of deployment and operational methodologies
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key stakeholders in government and strategic accounts
