About The Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), a large scale Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) federal financial management environment hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role focuses on hands on CI/CD pipeline support, Git based source control, scripting automation, and container fundamentals. You will work with DevSecOps engineers, Oracle EBS technical leads, cloud teams, and AI/ML specialists to support secure, repeatable software delivery within a high security DoD program. This position can be located anywhere within the Continental US.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting DevOps, CI/CD, scripting, or cloud deployment activities.
Hands on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
Practical Git experience: branching, merging, pull requests, code review workflows.
Linux command line proficiency and experience writing scripts in Bash or PowerShell.
Docker/container understanding (images, containers, registries).
Ability to obtain and maintain required government clearance.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Oracle EBS environments or federal/DoD IT programs.
Experience with Terraform or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
Familiarity with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, or similar).
Knowledge of SBOM standards and artifact signing.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Cloud/DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, OCI).
Strong communication and willingness to learn advanced DevSecOps pipelines.
Ability to follow structured release processes and collaborate across technical and functional teams.
Attention to detail, problem solving mindset, and comfort operating in a compliance driven federal environment.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Oracle EBS and cloud hosted components, including build, test, artifact packaging, and automated deployments.
Use Git for source control, code review, branching, merge management, and enforcing repository standards.
Write and maintain scripts in Bash or PowerShell to automate build steps, environment tasks, deployment workflows, and validation routines.
Support container based workflows using Docker (building images, running containers, understanding registries).
Run automated security checks (SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container/IaC scanning) and assist with SBOM generation and artifact signing.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to deployment documentation, test evidence, compliance artifacts, and release notes.
