As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Prompt Therapy, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving our infrastructure and deployment process, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. You will work closely with development teams to automate and streamline processes and deploy new solutions. If you're a proactive problem solver with a deep understanding of cloud environments and infrastructure automation, we want you on our team!

Requirements

Experience managing people and projects
5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
Expert knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS / Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and management.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
Proficient with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and optimize performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL).
Experience with PHP
Knowledge of security best practices and securing cloud environments.
Previous experience with agile methodologies and working in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Directly manage a team of 5 other engineers, including weekly 1:1s, performance reviews, coaching/mentorship, and strategic prioritization
Mentor up and coming engineers
Participate and contribute to the Code Review process
Participate in the on-call rotation
Lead team syncs, retrospectives and other team-based ceremonies
Conduct technical interviews with candidates to help build the Prompt Team
Design, implement, and manage infrastructure for our cloud-based platforms (AWS)
Create and automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (Gitlab / Github Actions)
Build, maintain, and scale containerized applications with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
Ensure system scalability, availability, and reliability through proactive monitoring and automation.
Troubleshoot issues in both production and development environments.
Work closely with development teams to enhance performance, security, and maintainability.
Manage and optimize infrastructure as code.
