Accountable for the design, analysis, and development of Solar's turbomachinery products. Is provided considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. DIMENSIONS. Provides solutions to a wide range of complex problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practical. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives. This role is a second shift position. Nature and Scope: Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field plus working knowledge of other related disciplines. May direct and monitor the work of junior engineers and technicians. Involves being part of and leading a team of engineers and technicians to perform on program elements. Requires frequent inter-organizational contacts with sales, marketing, customer services, and manufacturing plus outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects. Must work within schedule and cost constraints and internal Company policies.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
Mid-Level engineering experience

Nice To Haves

Six Sigma Green Belt or Back Belt
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Specifically Excel
AB RSLogix Programming
Data Acquisition Systems

Responsibilities

Develop engineering solutions to assigned tasks within schedule and budget constraints
Identify problems, issues, and concerns; plan and implement remediation activities.
Contribute to team activities in a leadership role to minimize process time requirements, assist in the direction and training of junior engineers.
