Senior Development Engineer I - CAP UI
About The Position
The CVS Digital - Developer Experience team is building an enterprise software deployment platform, CVS Application Platform (CAP), to transform how developers deploy applications at scale for CVS Digital application teams. This role is for engineers and engineering leaders passionate about delivering highly scalable, reliable, and secure platforms that make deploying software easy. The Digital Senior Development Engineer I - CAP UI is a hands-on software engineering role focused on building various services for CAP. The engineer will work with a team to design, code, test, and debug software applications powering critical experiences for both internal and external customers using CAP.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience exhibiting deep expertise in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, React.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle including ideation, coding, coding standards, testing, code reviews and production deployments.
- 3+ years of experience with modern software development practices like CI/CD and collaborative coding tools like GitHub, GitLab, etc.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Have a strong desire to see others succeed by mentoring and coaching other engineers through pair programming.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change requirements.
- Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision making.
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development methodology.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug software applications.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to define, design, and implement software features and functionality.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams as necessary to deliver high value work.
- Implement security best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations providing exceptional service to customers.
- Mentor and coach other engineers through pair programming.
