Data Engineer (Python)
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in Python and AWS cloud technologies to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native applications and APIs. This role will focus on building serverless solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and developing highly available services within AWS. The ideal candidate is a self-driven Senior developer who can take ownership of cloud-based application development, contribute to architectural decisions, and deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced environment. Experience building serverless applications and leveraging AWS-native services is essential.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
- Experience designing and deploying applications in AWS.
- Proficiency with: AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit), AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with AWS security best practices and IAM.
- Experience integrating cloud services with enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
- Build and manage cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services.
- Develop and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
- Design, configure, and maintain secure RESTful APIs using AWS API Gateway.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while optimizing performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
- Create technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
