About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to improve the developer experience across both Fabric and OneLink. The role combines software engineering, developer tooling, CI, SDK and extension development, documentation, testing, and direct collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. You will identify recurring onboarding and integration friction across both platforms and solve it through automation, libraries, templates, examples, documentation, test infrastructure, and developer-facing tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering, developer tooling, platform engineering, or test engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more of Rust, C++, Python, TypeScript, or Go.
  • Experience building developer-facing SDKs, APIs, libraries, command-line tools, extensions, or automation.
  • Experience developing frontend applications using TypeScript and a modern component-based framework.
  • Experience with CI, software testing, build systems, release automation, and artifact management.
  • Experience designing and maintaining unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience building or consuming web APIs and structured interfaces such as Protobuf or OpenAPI.
  • Strong Linux development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to debug issues across frontend, backend, networking, build, deployment, and distributed system boundaries.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with developers, technical customers, or external integration partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with edge computing, robotics, embedded systems, networking, or real-time systems.
  • Experience designing or working with plugin, extension, or micro-frontend architectures.
  • Experience building developer tooling, templates, component libraries, or test harnesses for third-party developers.
  • Experience building SDKs or developer tooling across multiple languages.
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, frontend build systems, and package management.
  • Experience with distributed systems, publish/subscribe middleware, or message-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, CMake, Bazel, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tooling.
  • Experience with documentation platforms such as Docusaurus, MkDocs, or Sphinx.
  • Experience onboarding external vendors or partners onto a developer platform.
  • Experience creating operational dashboards, debugging tools, or system visualizations.
  • Experience with simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, or distributed integration testing.
  • Experience delivering technical demonstrations or workshops.
  • Experience using AI-assisted workflows to improve developer tooling, testing, documentation, or support.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Fabric SDKs, client libraries, command-line tools, and reference integrations.
  • Build and maintain OneLink extension SDKs, APIs, templates, component libraries, and reference extensions.
  • Create reusable patterns for integrating platforms and payloads with Fabric and representing them within OneLink.
  • Develop automation for configuration, deployment, testing, debugging, validation, packaging, and release workflows.
  • Improve CI pipelines for Fabric, OneLink extensions, SDKs, documentation, examples, and release artifacts.
  • Build integration, compatibility, regression, and end-to-end test environments across both platforms.
  • Create tools for inspecting, simulating, and troubleshooting Fabric systems and OneLink extensions.
  • Develop local development and test environments that allow extension developers to build and validate their work independently.
  • Write and maintain API documentation, extension guides, tutorials, onboarding material, and troubleshooting content.
  • Define and document extension interfaces, compatibility requirements, lifecycle expectations, and recommended development patterns.
  • Support internal teams and external vendors through onboarding, architecture reviews, integration support, debugging, and release preparation.
  • Create and deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and reference implementations for Fabric and OneLink.
  • Turn developer feedback and support issues into improvements to tooling, APIs, platform interfaces, and documentation.
  • Communicate releases, migrations, compatibility changes, and known issues clearly across both platforms.
