About The Position

Designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings. Design architect will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements. Ensures timely and qualitative preparation of architectural concepts, designs, detailed plans, technical specifications and requisitions / reports / engineering deliverables in coordination with clients, contractors, other stakeholders and other disciplines. Ensures contractual technical specifications are met by external parties / suppliers / contractors. Ensures proper communication with vendors and technical follow up of the orders. Ensure designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and safety regulations. Adheres to project target and priority such as technical robustness, budget & schedule target. Proposes alternate for cost & schedule savings, energy savings in line with project target. Ensures timely reporting on engineering / requisitioning activities to the Lead Discipline Engineer. Meets quality and HSE objectives of the project. Interfaces with other discipline specialist engineers and possibly project support functions such as procurement and planning. Mentor junior architects, designers or interns, as needed. For small requisition / standard equipment, acts as project manager for his requisition in charge of technical, contractual, expediting and inspection with spot support from project / procurement.

Requirements

  • 5 to 12 years of experience in architectural design and execution of projects.
  • Familiarity with all technical aspects of the discipline and experience in most of them.
  • Fluency in professional English.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Professional licensure or certification (e.g., Registered Architect, NCARB certification).
