About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Design Systems Engineer to own and evolve our design system. Build and evolve a unified design system that powers every product we ship. You'll craft reusable components and define the standards that connect design and engineering at scale. The result: faster teams, consistent experiences, and a foundation ready for the AI-driven future of product development. About the Team The Design Systems team builds the foundation of our product experience a shared language of components, patterns, and principles that unify design and engineering. We partner closely with product teams, designers, engineers, and accessibility to deliver scalable solutions that drive consistency, speed, and quality across the organization.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bacherlors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience with 6+ years of experience in frontend engineering with significant experience building and scaling design systems or component libraries.
  • Deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter, or similar) and solid understanding of component architecture.
  • Have deep experience with design tokens, theming, and scalable styling systems (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, or equivalent approaches).
  • Proven ability to build systems that scale across multiple teams, products, or platforms.
  • Have deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG), performance, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience working closely with designers and using tools like Figma to bridge design and code.
  • Have excellent communication skills able to align cross-functional partners and advocate for system-level decisions.
  • A systems mindset you think in terms of reuse, abstraction, and long-term scalability rather than one-off solutions.
  • Hold experience leading or owning a design system at scale across an organization.
  • Familiarity with tooling such as Storybook, design-to-code pipelines, and automated documentation systems.
  • Experience integrating design systems into monorepos or multi platform environments.
  • Explore AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) and interest in how they reshape UI development workflows.
  • Experience improving developer experience (DX) through tooling, automation, and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the architecture and implementation of the design system building scalable, performant component libraries that serve as the foundation for all product development.
  • Establish and maintain a true single source of truth across design and code, ensuring tight alignment between Figma and production through tokens, components, and documentation.
  • Defining and evolve design tokens, theming systems, and styling infrastructure to support multiple platforms and use cases.
  • Build and maintain high-quality, reusable UI components with a focus on accessibility, performance, and flexibility.
  • Partnering deeply with design to translate intent into production-ready systems ensuring fidelity without sacrificing scalability.
  • Drive adoption across teams by creating clear standards, documentation, and contribution models that enable teams to move faster with confidence.
  • Establishing governance models for the design system balancing consistency with the flexibility teams need to innovate.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to integrate the design system into the broader frontend architecture and development workflows.
  • Improving developer and designer experience through tooling, automation, and improved workflows(Storybook, CI/CD, linting, etc.).
  • Mentor engineers and designers on system thinking, component design, and best practices.
  • Evaluating and integrate emerging technologies (including AI-assisted development workflows) to improve how we build, test, and scale UI systems.
