The ideal candidate for this position would be capable of severing in the following positions: As a Lead Engineer or a Responsible Engineer (RE) handling highly complex, large mechanical process equipment packages in some of the following fields: Life Sciences – Drug substances and Drug products, Blood Fractionation processes and Vaccines Advanced Technology – Semiconductor, Smart Batteries and Datacenters Advanced Manufacturing – Carbon Fiber production, Foods (Sugar, Potato Chips) and Rare Earth Minerals production

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Relevant Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) experience
  • Equipment knowledge and experience with: WIFI Stills, Modular/Skidded Systems, Autoclaves,, Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Chromatography, CIP Systems, Hygienic Equipment, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, Pumps, Heat Exchanger, Rare Earth processing equipment, Semiconductor equipment, Datacenters, etc.
  • Strong MS Office application experience
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk 2D CAD
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD
  • Familiarity with Smart Plant 3D, Revit and Navisworks
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of approximately (12) mechanical engineers
  • Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project documents for all phases of projects
  • Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts
  • Review and approve vendor lists, quotation requests/bid tabulations/purchase orders
  • Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and performance appraisal input and counseling
  • Manage the engineering and procurement activities for large highly complex equipment packages.
  • Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
  • Provide consultation and/or on-site assistance for the installation, commissioning, and/or start up of equipment
