A Day in the Life The Senior Automation & Controls Engineer will support automation initiatives from concept through production deployment, focusing on advanced technologies such as automation cells, collaborative robots (Cobots). This role ensures seamless integration of automation systems, process development, and equipment mechanization to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability across manufacturing operations. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Execute automation opportunities from concept to production deployment. Support equipment mechanization and automation from business case to implementation. Improve equipment uptime through troubleshooting, design changes, vendor partnerships, and hypercare. Work with sites and maintain an automation roadmap for value streams. Develop processes to transition from manual to automated operations. Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and sustaining engineering teams to integrate process changes. Document equipment requirements and review vendor designs for compliance. Support the full equipment life cycle, from development to sunsetting. Drive standard work for equipment health assessment and reliability. Oversee installation and hypercare of electromechanical systems.
