About The Position

This job position is an Azelis Distribution Center Associate with 10+ years of experience. They would work in concert with other warehouse employees in maintaining a safe, clean warehouse that fosters productivity and customer satisfaction by correctly receiving, storing, and shipping our products to our customers in the required manner and timeframe.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain a CDL Class A License.
  • 10 or more years work experience with job responsibilities similar to or related to the above listed duties and responsibilities
  • Trained and/or certified in the operation of a forklift
  • Be physically able to effectively perform labor-intensive activities daily.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Be able to effectively work in a team-based environment, where all team members hold themselves mutually accountable
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematic skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in training & teaching new employees (FTE, seasonal, and temp)
  • Ensure that all work performed with or for our customers, suppliers and employees is done in a safe, professional, courteous, and timely manner
  • Direct incoming trucks to appropriate dock positions
  • Verify that the bill of lading on incoming shipments matches the actual material, lot, and quantity received.
  • Inspect incoming loads for damage or product contamination
  • Unload and stage incoming shipments
  • Store product in designated areas and in accordance with established NFPA storage and segregation standards
  • Pull and stage orders as indicated by the workorder
  • Print a bill of lading and shipping labels for staged orders
  • Verify that staged material is the same material, quantity, and lot number indicated on the bill of lading.
  • Obtain driver’s signature on bill of lading
  • Prepare product for shipment according to listed customer requirements
  • Attach packing list, SDS and COAs as required
  • Arrange transportation for common carrier shipments
  • Load and brace material into delivery vehicle in accordance with established Department of Transportation standards
  • Comply with all safety standards as described in Azelis Americas EHS&S, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Action Plans and SHEQ
  • Perform inventory counts and verification as requested
  • Assist, as directed, in all emergency response operations, including spill clean-up and waste disposal
  • Any and all tasks as requested by supervisor as related to daily maintenance, safety, and operations of the warehouse.
  • Understand and adhere to/follow the department procedures and policies
  • Adhere to and support the principles of Responsible Distribution™.
  • Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
