About The Position

Mindera is seeking a security-minded, growth-oriented Senior DataOps Engineer to lead automation, optimization, and security of its AWS data ecosystem. The role involves designing next-generation secure cloud data infrastructure and exploring AWS services and DevSecOps approaches to improve the data stack. It is a remote, full-time position within Engineering / Data Engineering, with a stated experience range of 6–12 years. • Expertise with AWS data and analytics services, including EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, S3, and Kinesis.
  • Proficiency securing cloud environments using AWS IAM, KMS, VPC networking, PrivateLink, Security Groups, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, and CloudTrail.
  • Experience building secure automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with orchestration engines such as Apache Airflow/MWAA and Step Functions, and modern data tools such as dbt.
  • Advanced Python and SQL programming skills and a solid understanding of securing relational and NoSQL databases.
  • A security-first approach that incorporates risk management and data privacy into code and infrastructure design.
  • Curiosity and an interest in researching AWS materials, learning new tools, and experimenting with proof-of-concepts.
  • Ability to debug ambiguous system failures, tune performance for large datasets, and solve unconventional cloud architecture problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable data platforms using AWS-native services.
  • Embed security guardrails into the data lifecycle, including encryption, data masking, network security, and secure access controls.
  • Build and manage automated pipelines for data infrastructure and code deployments using infrastructure as code.
  • Oversee data workflow orchestration and implement real-time security monitoring, logging, and automated compliance auditing.
  • Research, prototype, and implement emerging AWS services and open-source data tools to address infrastructure bottlenecks.

Benefits

  • Flexible, self-managed working hours.
