About The Position

IntePros Federal is seeking a Senior Database Team Lead to be named in a proposal supporting PL ALTESS. This role involves supporting and administering enterprise database environments across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud platforms. The position requires architecting database infrastructure, installing and configuring database software, and ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security across Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments. Responsibilities include planning deployments, scheduling installations, and maintaining database monitoring dashboards for proactive management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise database administration, database architecture, performance tuning, and security compliance, with knowledge of DoD STIGs, SRRs, and POA&M documentation. The Team Lead will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure databases meet ALTESS and Army security standards.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Equivalent years of experience managing application development projects may be considered)
  • Experience in database administration and architecture
  • Five or more years experience supporting Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database environments
  • Knowledge of core database administration responsibilities including configuration, tuning, backup/restore, and security

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Knowledge of Python and PowerShell

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, configure, and administer enterprise database environments supporting customer applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database software across Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database platforms.
  • Ensure database environments meet availability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Assist in scheduling deployment activities and planning new database installations.
  • Develop and maintain security standards for all database environments and ensure compliance with ALTESS and Army requirements.
  • Create and maintain database monitoring dashboards and administrative tools to support proactive system management.
  • Perform Security Readiness Reviews (SRR) and document findings in Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Support database performance tuning, optimization, backup/restore operations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless integration between databases and customer applications.
  • Maintain cross-platform administration skills across Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
  • Utilize Python and PowerShell scripting to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders, providing clear status updates and technical guidance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to database administrators and junior team members.
