About The Position

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining system standards, managing system changes through a strict change management policy, and coordinating implementation items. The analyst will train MIS staff on build and procedures, work with clinic staff and vendors on system and reporting services projects, and maintain accurate system flows and documentation. Additionally, the role involves providing direct support for systems and reporting services, troubleshooting issues, managing vendor communications, and assisting the Database Administrator. The analyst will also identify and mitigate system risks with MIS staff, complete daily support tasks, and demonstrate the ability to learn clinic install processes and assist with database system upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. (Associate degree in computer science and two years of programming experience may be equivalent). Or Ten (10) years of verifiable experience operating as Systems Administration or Database Administration, with SAP Crystal Reporting, Sql Reporting, or combination of experience with other ad hoc reporting.
  • Two years programming experience in IDX/GE application development or systems assigned.
  • Ability to describe/demonstrate structured programming technique in the following: AES, Mumps/AIX, Epic, SQL, or Cache.
  • MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Epic, McKesson or other assigned systems integration and communications.
  • Knowledge of Clarity and/or Caboodle and must maintain certifications as mandated by Epic.
  • Vendor and project management experience required.
  • Previous Project Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Five (5) years medical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IDX Flowcast applications: BAR, SCHED, AES, and DBMS a plus
  • Knowledge of IDX/GE Advance Web a plus.
  • Knowledge of EDI transactions, Claim forms and EFG a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain system standards for assigned systems.
  • Create and manage system changes.
  • Manage system change implementations via a strict change management policy.
  • Coordinate implementation items between all groups and ensure proper testing of those items.
  • Train MIS staff on appropriate build and procedures to ensure knowledge share and appropriate support.
  • Works with Watson Clinic staff and vendors, by coordinating projects related to systems and reporting services.
  • Create effective project plans including timelines, implementation schedules and test plans.
  • Schedule and coordinate all meetings, webinars, or other communications regarding projects pre/post implementation.
  • Maintain accurate system flows and documentation.
  • Assist Clinic staff and vendors by providing direct support for systems and reporting services.
  • Create/maintain change control process for assigned systems.
  • Coordinate with all group’s updates/maintenance and support item changes.
  • Troubleshoot and documents resolutions for items reported.
  • Manage effective communication with associated vendors.
  • Work with Vendors to plan upgrade(s), maintenance, or other software support.
  • Works directly with and assists the Watson Clinic Database Administrator.
  • Works with MIS staff to identify system issues/risk and works with staff to implement early interventions with appropriate outcomes.
  • Completes daily support tasks while maintaining appropriate records of items completed/status.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with MIS staff.
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn clinic install processes and assist new and upgrade releases of relational database management systems.
