Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7 years of database administration experience, including 3 years in the design and optimization of enterprise databases.
  • Demonstrated expertise in: Expertise in Oracle DBs; database architecture and high availability; performance tuning, automation, security compliance, backup/recovery, and cloud database management.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Certified Master (OCM).
  • Experience with Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Identity Management, and Oracle Unified Directory
  • Experience with AB Initio or similar ETL tools, Apache Kafka, Go Anywhere MFT Software Maintenance, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Services Bus (ESB), and Oracle GoldenGate.
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics is a plus, including tools such as OAP, OAS, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
  • Experience as a senior DBA on DoD or federal agency programs.
  • Familiarity with cloud database services and cloud migration for databases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database environments, especially involving Oracle RDBMS 19c
  • Lead database performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability configuration activities.
  • Develop and govern database schemas, database standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior DBAs on database administration techniques and best practices.
  • Lead database migration, upgrade, and consolidation projects.
  • Work on actively improving database quality.
  • Create various scripts focused on various database fixes and maintenance operations
  • Implement and maintain advanced database security controls, including encryption, auditing, and access management.
  • Provide expert database guidance to development and architecture teams.
  • Execute various environment (data) replications, including validations.
  • Conduct archiving and restoring to hot and cold storage.
  • Perform data exchange, ETL, and data integration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
