About The Position

The SQL Developer, Data Conversion Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases, as well as managing data conversion projects. This role involves extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from legacy systems or spreadsheets into new database platforms, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Proven experience as a SQL Developer and Data Conversion Specialist.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).

Responsibilities

Write and optimize SQL queries for data access, manipulation, and reporting.
Perform ETL processes to ensure accurate and complete data migrations.
Collaborate with technical and functional teams to resolve data inconsistencies or issues.
Work closely with clients to understand their data structure and requirements.
Maintain documentation of data conversion processes, mappings, and configurations.
Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and procedures to improve data conversion efficiency and accuracy.
Escalate issues to the Project Manager and Team Lead when appropriate to ensure risks are mitigated and client expectations are met.
Provide subject matter expert support both internally and externally.
