About The Position

Niyam IT is seeking an experienced Senior Data Visualization & Analytics Specialist to support a federal client. The specialist transforms complex datasets into intuitive, interactive analytical products that support strategic planning and data-driven decision-making. The role manages product development from data collection, cleaning, and preparation through dashboard development, reporting, and visual storytelling using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Working with NGA PEO-GG leadership and technical teams, the specialist identifies business needs, defines key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzes trends and patterns, and translates statistical information into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences. The position is onsite at the client location in Springfield, Virginia. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Ability to work onsite at the client location in Springfield, Virginia.
• Demonstrated experience creating insightful, visually compelling dashboards and analytical reports that communicate complex data to various audiences.
• Expert proficiency with one or more leading business intelligence and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, joining, and structuring complex datasets.
• Experience preparing data, including cleaning and transforming raw data for analysis.
• Ability to analyze datasets for significant trends, patterns, and correlations and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Communication skills and experience working directly with stakeholders and leadership to gather requirements, define KPIs, and present data-driven recommendations.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Specialized experience with NGA and/or other Intelligence Community agency missions and communications policies.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence principles and their utilization for data visualization and analytics.
• Knowledge of PEO-GG systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and structure data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, integrity, and readiness for analysis.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical products using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Create charts, graphs, infographics, and other visualizations that translate complex datasets into clear, accessible, actionable insights.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, performance gaps, and findings that inform strategic planning and organizational decision-making.
• Work with NGA PEO-GG leadership and technical teams to understand business requirements, define relevant KPIs, and align analytical products with strategic objectives.
• Interpret statistical information and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders through data-driven visual storytelling.
• Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and analytical products to ensure accuracy, usability, relevance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
