About The Position

The Senior Transportation Analyst optimizes logistical operations, freight movements, and supply chain efficiency by analyzing data, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing technology solutions. They bridge the gap between IT, operations, and management, driving cost reductions, process improvements, and strategic decision-making in transportation mode, fleet management, and carrier performance.

Requirements

Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, RPA, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python, Snowflake, PowerPoint).
Understanding of logistics, transportation modes (TL, LTL, Ocean, Air), and supply chain principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to management and resolve operational issues.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Create dashboards and reports for operational and financial metrics (e.g., fuel consumption, carrier performance, freight spend).
Evaluate and enhance data extraction from multiple systems and demonstrate proficiency in other software tools.
Map and document current, end-to-end transportation processes.
Support business strategies through network optimization, carrier performance, and project management.
Develop business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and project proposals.
Act as the liaison between business units, IT, and external partners (carriers, vendors).
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, such as on-time delivery, to ensure compliance and quality.
