About The Position

The Senior Data Specialist supports Cat OnPoint Marketing Services by executing marketing analytics and reporting, translating defined requirements into reliable, actionable insights that support dealer performance and campaign optimization. This role performs hands-on analytics, dashboard development, and data validation, while also serving as a key liaison to Account Managers and dealers, helping interpret results, answer analytics-related questions, and ensure insights are clearly understood and actionable. Working under established analytics strategy and standards, this role contributes to scalable reporting, improves data quality, and supports consistent measurement of campaign performance, customer engagement, and value realization.

Requirements

  • Value Realization: Knowledge of value realization methods; ability to plan, execute, monitor and manage business activities and resources to determine and achieve the actual value from a business initiative as estimated in an associated business case.
  • Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
  • Agile Development: Knowledge of agile methodologies and the agile development lifecycle; ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices and techniques for the delivery of new and enhanced applications.
  • Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and their applications; ability to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.
  • ETL Process: Knowledge of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process; ability to develop a database through the ETL process.
  • Information Management: Knowledge of an organization's existing and planned Information Architecture and Information Management (IM) methodology; ability to collect and manage information from different sources, and distribute this information to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Analytics, Data, Information Systems, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience executing analytics and reporting for digital marketing programs, campaigns, or customer engagement initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience working with marketing KPIs, such as engagement rates, conversion metrics, campaign performance, or customer behavior analysis.
  • Experience interpreting and communicating campaign performance results to marketing or business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with structured datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or similar).
  • Ability to clearly explain analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders, including marketing or customer-facing teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience in data validation and quality assurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting marketing analytics in a dealer-facing or customer-facing environment.
  • Familiarity with campaign reporting, audience segmentation, and customer journey analysis.
  • Experience working alongside Account Managers, marketing teams, or CRM/campaign execution teams.
  • Experience working within defined analytics frameworks or governance structures.
  • Experience supporting value realization, ROI tracking, or performance reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute analytics and reporting requests tied to dealer onboarding, campaign performance, and ongoing optimization efforts
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations focused on campaign performance, customer engagement, and conversion outcomes.
  • Perform hands-on data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers across marketing campaigns and dealer activities.
  • Serve as a liaison to Account Managers and dealer stakeholders, supporting analytics-related questions, explaining results, and helping translate insights into action.
  • Validate data accuracy and perform data quality checks, investigating and resolving discrepancies across sources.
  • Translate defined requirements into implementable analytics solutions, including report logic, metric definitions, and data transformations.
  • Document and maintain data definitions, reporting logic, and dashboard structures to support consistency and scalability.
  • Support ongoing improvement of reporting by identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, or enhance analytics outputs.
  • Partner with Lead Data Specialist and technical teams to support data requirements, reporting enhancements, and issue resolution.
