In this vital role you will: Duties: Manage the lifecycle of digital products and systems needed for business processes within process development, leveraging tech transfer, biomanufacturing, and chemical engineering expertise . Develop understanding of Amgen data structures & implement improvements as needed to support specific efficiencies or business analytics needed. Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data to support technology transfer, process monitoring, and laboratory business processes. Create analytics requested by customers to support business processes and complex business questions, ensuring that the analysis is grounded in relevant chemical engineering, bioprocessing, and good manufacturing principles. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in data science by exploring new technology and methodologies, providing recommendations related to process monitoring, data engineering, analytic platforms, analysis plans, and other relevant areas of data science. Collaborate closely with bioprocessing and chemical engineers to identify opportunities to digitalize and improve processes to drive innovation and efficiency. Act as a technical liaison between the IS department supporting enterprise digital strategies and the needs of stakeholders and customers in process development Independently and effectively manage larger digital integration strategies, make decisions that impact a large set of business users, and lead a product team to ensure the reliability of digital systems to enhance system performance. Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field & 2 years of experience in the following: Programming in R or Python; Database languages including SQL; Data visualization tools including Tableau or Spotfire; Statistical data analysis such as linear/non-linear multivariate models and hypothesis testing, control charts, and capability analysis; Amazon Web Services or Databricks; Understanding of technical requirements involved for process monitoring of a biomanufacturing and synthetic manufacturing process; and Understanding of technology transfer from clinical to commercial manufacturing.
