Senior Data Scientist
About The Position
This role involves collaborating with the Head Quarters BI team to understand business requirements and design appropriate data solutions. The successful candidate will leverage prior experience and industry best practices to analyze cross-functional data and provide insights to business teams. Responsibilities include assisting stakeholders with data analysis, designing data models, and developing DB Views, Calculation Views, etc. in SAP HANA. The role also requires implementing snapshot processes, data refresh schedules, and exception handling procedures, defining data integration requirements, and ensuring compliance with documented architecture, design, and deployment processes. Partnering with the Global BI team to implement solutions for end-user adoption and keeping pace with the latest technology advances in SAP HANA are also key aspects of this position. Developing functional subject matter expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes is expected.
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 6+ years of documented experience as a SQL developer in data warehouse technologies
- 2+ years of SAP HANA experience is a must.
- SAP HANA Modeling experience is a must.
- Expertise in database design & development & SQL on SAP HANA, Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience in ad-hoc data analysis, solution design, reporting & dashboard development
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work individually and in a broader geographically disperse team
Nice To Haves
- Special consideration for an interest or experience in Data Science projects, and for experience in working with large historical snapshot tables.
- Experience in BI technologies like Tableau, OBIEE, QlikView, Microsoft BI is a plus
- Prior ServiceNow platform experience is a huge plus
Responsibilities

- Develop functional subject matter expertise within various areas of enterprise business processes
