About The Position

Applaudo is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a temporary, full-time opportunity running from November 2 through December 31, 2026. The role focuses on turning complex datasets into meaningful insights and practical, data-driven solutions that support business decisions. The successful candidate will work hands-on with data preparation, statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization across cloud-based data environments, ensuring data accuracy and reliability throughout the analytical process.

The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, and Business teams. They will communicate complex findings clearly, translate business challenges into analytical approaches, and deliver actionable recommendations. The role uses Google Cloud Platform services, Python, SQL, and Power BI to develop and maintain analytical solutions, models, pipelines, and dashboards.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data processing and analytics.
• Advanced Python skills for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data preparation, transformation, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
• Experience developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Native Spanish proficiency.
• B2+ English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Build and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights and forecasts.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to communicate insights to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Use Google Cloud Platform services to manage and optimize data pipelines and analytical solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and transform large datasets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to align data science solutions with organizational objectives.
• Translate business challenges into practical data science approaches and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Stay current with relevant tools and methodologies in data science, cloud analytics, and data visualization.
