About The Position

The Senior Data Scientist role is responsible for building and maintaining models and analyses that help the company understand and improve its business performance. The Senior Data Scientist uses advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from structured and unstructured data and communicates the findings to stakeholders and executives. The Senior Data Scientist also collaborates with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure data quality, model stability, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Data Scientist is part of a team of data scientists who strive for excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS
• Experience in building and applying statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and optimization techniques
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Project and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time

Responsibilities

• Produce ad hoc analyses and fulfill data requests from various business units and functions
• Develop and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and optimization solutions using tools such as SQL, R, Python, or SAS
• Monitor and evaluate model performance and stability, and update models as needed
• Create analytical frameworks to compare and select the best modeling solutions for different business problems
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize model outputs and findings for stakeholders
• Prepare and present clear and concise presentations with analysis and recommendations to the executive team
• Follow written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities
• Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with IT, risk, compliance, and other data scientists
• Learn new skills and technologies to keep up with the latest trends and best practices in data science
