The Walmart Scintilla team transforms extensive data into actionable insights, recommendations, and innovations that enhance customer, merchant, and supplier outcomes. This team leads advancements in generative AI, agentic intelligence, and machine learning to redefine retail experiences, optimize operations, and develop new business models. Requirements

Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical modeling techniques.
Proficiency in Python programming and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, and Tableau.
Strong knowledge of data engineering, including SQL and NoSQL databases, data quality standards, and data governance.
Ability to identify, assess, and source appropriate data for business needs and perform initial data quality checks.
Expertise in model development, validation, deployment, and scalability within production environments.
Solid understanding of business domains to translate requirements into actionable data solutions.
Experience mentoring junior associates and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver impactful insights.
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field.
5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Responsibilities

Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains and databases to support analytical needs.
Perform initial data quality assessments and ensure data suitability for modeling and analysis.
Develop, test, and deploy advanced analytical models using programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Validate and tune models to ensure accuracy, robustness, and scalability in production environments.
Create clear and effective data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
Mentor junior team members on modeling techniques and best practices.
